also, so much more I could say here. the garden of my childhood home, of my parents, is probably the most soothing to my nervous system of any place I have ever been. that is in the pacific NW. I left the PNW for one year and came right back because I couldn't handle the heat and dry landscape of central CA (or the college I had chosen). I also recently started gardening for the first time for some transformative reasons related to grief that exists in the future but that I got a glimpse of recently. SO much to think on. xo

mm yes, I love those questions. I think about them too, especially when my ancestral land isn't fully my land either, it may be my spiritual home more and where I am now is more my functional home. I'll be thinking about this more, thank you for those sparks of ideas I can think more about
